
Nairne Chat is proud to be integral in the establishment of many new community groups and to bringing the community together in Nairne. We have been integral in the establishment and retention of new parks and gardens, community projects and activities as well as advocating for individuals and groups with different Government agencies on all levels. We are a well respected and regarded part of the community and ready to support all when the need arises.
I thank those people that are inclusive of all those who reside and work in and around Nairne, many of us have worked together to bring the "we" back into community in Nairne. Brett.

The Nairne Railway Station and Cottage continues to be renovated as an inclusive place for community and business use by the Nairne & District Lions Club. Services currently available are counselling, psychology, hypnotism, massage and employment services as well as fortnightly Dungeons & Dragons sessions, craft activities, railway museum development and other activities. A proposed car and pet wash has been submitted to Council for development on Woodside Rd by the same developer that created the Chapman Shopping Complex.
Feb 2026 Redevelopment of the old Service Station site into a new OTR including a car wash at the rear has begun.

A renewed development for the Miller’s Arms Hotel in Nairne has been approved by the Mount Barker District Council. The $800,000 redevelopment will include a new beer garden and expanding guest capacity from 166 to 250, with the previous proposed liquor drive through scrapped. The 180-year-old hotel will retain its heritage character.

Fri 12 Dec will see the Nairne Main St come alive after 4,30 pm with a Christmas Market, Sat 13 Dec the Nairne Carols will be on at the the Nairne Primary School from 6pm.

Nairne welcomes new business Pfitzner Meats and Butchery to the Chapman's @ Nairne complex.
The Nairne & Districts Lions Club continue to develop the Nairne Railway Station into a hub for community events. They have started to release availability of rooms for hire by individuals and groups at very reasonable rates.​​
